Freedom
This album is a blues/country crossover. A mix of big, bluesy, ballsy and beautiful music. Each song is about a different type of freedom including the freedom from the constraints of sexuality, the freedom from desegregation, the freedom from war and illness to the freedom that writing brings and, yes, the fun and freedom that getting older can bring! The lyrics share real and imagined experiences of sometimes challenging subjects but the overall feeling on this record is one of fun aimed at getting the listener to tap their feet, sing along, even get up and dance and enjoy a sense of freedom!!
